You have a very different haircut in your pic from three years ago which complicates things.

It's honestly hard to judge from these pictures. What I recommend (my hair is similar to yours) is taking a photo after a buzz cut.

Yes, but I recently got a cut just less than a month ago. In the pic that's 3 years old it's pretty low quality but It looks like it was cut half a month before. Even then the old pic isn't buzzed. So it wouldn't really help. Got anything else?

Next time you get a haircut, take pictures immediately afterwards and post them here. They might be more informative.
