I'm 14 and a freshman in high school (9th grade)

I started puberty in 4th grade when I was 10 like most of the other boys but ever since then I have been addicted to masturbation, doing it at least once, and sometimes twice a day. I know that mastrubation leads to extra DHT production, not masturbation in itself but ejaculation to be specific. No one but me really notices my hair loss but I can assure you its, there, i will attach photos. I have lost quite a bit of hair around my temples, a very small amount of hair on the back of my head, you cant notice it with your eyes (well maybe very slightly) and i can feel that it feels thinner than the rest of my hair. On the top of my head the hair going from my temples to the back of my head feels significantly thinner than the hair directly on top of my head, but even that feels quite thin that what it should be. A few weeks ago I got bought minoxidil and started using it twice a day, yesterday I decided to stop for two reason

1, I wasnt seeing any results after almost a month of using it, and
2, a lot of people online say that if you use it for a long time them stop your hair will fall out all of it in the area where you were using minoxidil then regrow, so you would temporarily be more bald.

I really don't know what to do know.
What if I buy myself a DHT blocker pill online, would that have negative side affects for be as a teen ager? would it stop the hair loss and encourage hair growth? Please look at the photos I have attached and please give me lots and lots of information that could help me.

Sorry to hear that, man. I started thinning about 16. Don't take finasteride or any other DHT blocker at your age under any circumstances. You could start using nizoral shampoo. Does hair loss run in your family?

Unfortunately hair loss does run in my family, my dad is bald and so are all my uncles on that side of the family and my dads dad was bald but not as sever as him or his brothers, my moms dad is bald and my one uncle on that side of the family is bald, my moms mom also has some hair loss, it isnt extreme but maybe a little more than other 87 year old women.

Ill be honest with you man, my friend started balding at 16 and was a full baldie by 20. But, looking at your pictures, I don't think you are balding. If you are worried, please visit a doctor. Also ask you family what age they started to lose their hair.

You're not balding IMO. Just keep an eye on it as you do have a family history.

You have more of a thinning than a balding going on which means it can be stress related or maybe even due to a vitamin deficiency. Have you tried eating a diet more balanced for your hair health? Also, did you have an vaccinations in the last year or 2. That is a common thing happening with kids these days, hair loss in their teens after vaccinations. No one addresses the issue though.

Hate to say it, but I believe you are starting to bald at the temples.

That is not maturation of any sort.

given the fact you started puberty so young its entirely possible you have finished growing and you could take finasteride safely within a couple of years. This would require xrays of your growth plates to confirm but the general rule of thumb is not to take finasteride before 18, however this is an extremely unscientific guideline because there are many guys still growing at that age.
