You need to have increased libido on there too. I am really disappointed with Propecia as they should have mentioned for some it has negative effects..at least I would have known that risk. My increased testosterone/increased libido I think has helped destroy my hair.

Libido is not necessarily the biggest problem...Tiredness and Brainfog to me is

I think sides are common its just that for many they are not major so drug taking can continue..Merk doesn't mention that. 2% is wrong.

Number 1: It does mention it may have side effects. Read the booklet that comes with the pills. Or the website. Or anywhere else.

Number 2: ... 2% is wrong? What are you basing that on? Some posts on a forum? Hardly scientific, compared to say the trials that Merck themselves ran is it?

This thread is pointless. The majority of people that have sides on finasteride are the same people that continuously freakout about their hair loss and post ridiculously long-winded statements about how bad their hair is, how their life is coming to an end, and how the only answer is to commit suicide.

There are too many people on these forums with body dysmorphic disorder and somatization disorders to accurately measure the incidence or prevalence of side effects.

This is pretty much a waste of forum space.

The 2% number is correct. Anything above that is simply human error due to psychological diseases manifesting as physical signs and symptoms.

Flimflam,

The negative effects I state are not side effects which we know are possible and that is a given on the web site and with the pills. It is the fact that it can accelerate hairloss in some cases..that is not mentioned anywhere.

Re % having sides - I never started the 2% have sides, that was rambotera who started the thread. We know its much higher than that from listening to all those on this forum.

I simply cannot believe that finasteride accelerates hairloss when there are other, more likely explanations such as: very aggressive male pattern baldness, something other than male pattern baldness, very long shed, and ...imagination.

eh? It doesn't matter who said it first. You said it. I quoted it in my post...

No we don't "know" it's much higher. As has been said a million times before, this forum is a hive of misery, negative thought, anxiety and exaggeration. You are taking people at their word, most of the time without *any* evidence to back up their claims. I'm sorry but whispers on a public forum isn't good enough to warrant a reevaluation of the so-called 2% statistic.

But 25 ppl is a shitty small sample size. Not statistically significant. Also this poll is on a hairloss sites side effect forum so I am sure it is skewed beyond belief. Most people don't even look through this forum unless they have sides.

yes this is tantamount to making a poll in General hair loss discussion asking people whether or not they suffer from male pattern baldness. Omg, 100% of people on this site have male pattern baldness. But the newcaster said only 60-65% of males in this country do.
