If you quit finasteride, how long did it take for sides to go away?

I've been taking finasteride 1mg per day for about a week. Sides have been moderate, but I can't help but fear permanent sides if they accelerate. Anybody who has been on finasteride for more than a couple of months and quit, how long did it take for your sides to disappear?

When I began using the drug, I experienced severe side effects within 4 months. I was off the drug for 6 months without returning to normal. I was on and off a small dose of the drug since then, till approximately one year later, when it was clear that I had developed secondary hypogonadism. After 10 months of research, I've discovered that it's all about estrogen management. Look into aromatase inhibitors if you run into trouble, whether you intend to continue treatment with propecia, or not.
