If you had to choose between treating ur baldness with minoxidil+azelaic acid+keto/nizoral shampoo or only with fina.. Which one would u choose?

What results would be expected from each of these 2 regimens should be expected?

Looking for answers from experienced users and prefferable people who have been on both separatedly before.. Ty

Strictly with the results of preventing going bald. Finasteride. That was the only thing I used to treat my thinning hair. granted it didn't regrow hair it just made my current hair stronger and fuller.

I've been using min and nizoral which is close to
doing the other stuff and am seeing a continuing thinning.

7.5 years on finasteride equals no hair loss and some thickening. 6 months of
min and nizoral equals thinning on top of head.

Finasteride is really the only thing that treats the underlying cause of male pattern baldness. So it's an easy choice. It's thickens up what you have, and sometimes can generate some new growth if you're one of the very lucky ones. Everything else is merely a Band-aid that will only help in the short term. It's just like a teenager with acne. If you asked them if they would rather use any of the hundreds of combinations of topical creams, masks, pads, et cetera to maybe only minimize breakouts OR take a daily pill that can stop the underlying issue of their acne, I'm sure they would choose the latter option, even with the potential side effects. Walking around with a pizza face is similar to walking around with that big bald spot at your crown or a badly receded hairline, but there is no "f*ck it! I'll just buzz it all off!" option when it comes to your face.

I had bad acne and took an anti biotic for it for a while. It made me sunburn really easily and ****ed up my bowels. Should have just stuck with oxy. Also I drank excessive amounts of milk and pop. I think that's what caused it to begin with

Finasteride for sure. Without it you're just fighting the tide, it is the only long term solution besides dutasteride and RU.

I say finasteride too. It is just the more effective treatment.
