My fellow friends, could you please take a look on these pics? I'm worried I'm diffuse thinning, because under strong light my crown seems rather thin (and there is a "split" line separating hair follices going doown to neck). It's not very visible on normal lighting conditions though.

You are great community, thank you.
Im not noticing any amount of hair loss (maybe single digit)

Im 28years old.
my father (50+) and brother (30) have good hairlines

edit:

Looks to be some thinning at the crown--is your hair line okay? I would just use Minoxidil as this may be all you need, for now. Your hair is long so if it gets cut it may give you a nasty surprise like cutting my hair did for me though!

I'm no expert but if it hasn't already your hairline is probably maturing and the crown is often a little thinner than the rest of the hair

Your fine dude. Take pics every 3 months or so just to be sure what’s going on up there. Considering your age your hairloss is not aggressive so you’re good.

I need to disagree. Minoxidil does nothing against the balding process. First line of attack should always be antiandrogen, preferably finasteride where starting early is crucial.

I'm also having some pimples in head and inflamed scalp (and following burning sensation occasionally - which worries me as people say its DHT attack, but then it could be related to inflamed scalp), could it be cause of some of this? I'm trying various shampoons (like Nizoral). I had derm take a look and prescribe me stuff, she wasn't sure, but so far it's not really helping. I'm going for a check up in a week, and getting the trichogram in a 4 weeks...

I also had two wisdom tooth extractions and eye surgery (lasik) 2 months ago, could it be related to stress and antibiotics related to that?

As preventative measure you could hop on finasteride and never think about it again assuming you don’t get sides.

It doesn’t look like you are dealing with any sort of remotely agressive hairloss. You’re 28 and by 40 you will probably have at least some noticeable thinning. However this is not cause for alarm just yet. You have a good hairline good density and the crown would only be concerning if it looked completely different a year ago. If your’e using a prescription to improve scalp condition and it’s not helping you may just want to look into treating inflammation via supplements and diet along with continued use of nizoral.

This assessment is all based on your photos and reports of minimal to no hair fall. That doesn’t mean your hairloss couldn’t turn agressive this year or in the coming years. If you are experiencing ‘the itch’ there is a possibility dht is behind it. But with that typically comes hairfall and visible miniturization which you don’t seem to have.

No need to worry your self blaming it on this or that, stress, tooth extraction etc. Take pictures every three months and if you continue to see no change you’re good. Everyone gets an itchy scalp. You’re not balding until your hair is shrinking or falling out.
