Maybe the cause of male pattern baldness is actually the testosterone-dihydrotestosterone ratio?

Think about this... People who have low T levels, get destroyed on Finasteride. People who have less T and more DHT (aka Steroid users) experience male pattern baldness. People who have high testosterone levels naturally and most likely less DHT, experience increased libido and no harsh sides.

I’m not saying that the genetic predisposition isn’t there and I won’t go deeper into that one. But what if, what if... the secret lies on the ratio. And in fact a prolonged ratio of DHT > T, which progressively causes dermatitis/eczema (sebum irregularities?), acne, hyperkeratosis, excessive sweat and also... male pattern baldness?! What if!

Has anyone been on TRT and Finasteride/Dutasteride? Anyone here measured their testosterone, shbg, free testosterone and dihydrotestosterone levels at once, without being on antiandrogens and later on again while being on them?

Let’s discuss. I’ll get to the bottom of this, we’ll find the cause.

brah i measures my test and DHt and E2 pre and post fina ! ( on various dosage of fina 1 to 5 mg) . And on dutasteride
pre fina ; my test level was 500. my dht was in the average rang 0.50 . And my E2 was really really low , under 20 pg/ml
post fina my test increase to 600 , my dht is insanely low ; and decrease progressively over the course of 1 year to 0.14
And my E2 increase quite a lot to 25-28 pg/ml range .

On duta I have just tested my DHT and E2 after 2 month and the DHT was at 0.07 !!! almost 0
and My E2 was at 25 ! so not so high

What I meant is that normal males with a chronic dht>t situation may be the ones developing Androgenetic Alopecia and also not responding well to dht inhibitors, precisely because dht has learned to be the dominating hormone. And since dht is also behind sebaceous glands going nuts, there is your dermatitis, eczema, etc. All the people I’ve heard of that took antiandrogens with raging libido as side had high t levels already. People with low t, depressed or miserable or whatever you call it, they had low t levels. They took antiandrogens and got destroyed.

So, ideally, you should have high T and low DHT? Is that it?

Not necessarily low but I think the ratio should be T>DHT. So dht wont be the dominant hormone and you won’t go into a damn shutdown once Finasteride inhibits it. Someone mentioned the amount of receptors once. And someone else also mentioned about the kind of dht one has or something like that.

Whatever it is, it must be something in those areas. There are studies about the chromosome x apparently not being entirely responsible or responsible at all for Androgenetic Alopecia. And then you got people losing hair in their 30s or 40s and others are bald from 20. And what’s up with all people losing hair at later age? Their T levels drop, no?
