I use this as a knot sealer and better surface for tape to stick to

Thank you. I've heard it creates a better surface for adhesion and that makes sense.

Does it help hold knots in the lace as far as you can tell? Also when you wash your piece does the knot sealer create any trouble - creating tangles etc?

Yes, it does hold the knots. No, when I wash it the sealer does not create any trouble at all.

Hm, I remember meeting some girls who had front laces & would use Hairspray on their lace. I remember Aquanet, now from these instances, but from when I was younger had acrlyic in it. Presumably other ones do too, or some at least. Do you think you could post the contents of the bottle, the ingrediants list?

The skull and cross bones, next to the word poison, on the front and cancer warning on the back doesn't deterr you?

works great. Especially for the tape-the tape peels off and sticks like you stuck it on the fridge!View attachment 166746
Looks like nasty chemical stuff though. Hope you used it in a well ventilated area?
I wouldn't feel comfortable having something like that next to my skin if it's not meant for such long term.

If a lace base is made properly and is high quality it shouldn't need a knot sealer.
Double knotting I heard is stronger than the single knotting for example.

It is absorbed into your bloodstream. It would get into your lungs without breathing.
