We will travel with light of speed through hyperspace and settle on new planets, curing cancer and aids before we can stop balding

I think at some point rich people will just get their babies genetical modified and get rid of the balding genes though

This is the only realistic scenario i can think of right now

You cant really compare it

1 is a horrible, uncureable fate and the other is just sth you get mostly rid off after chemo

You cant compare other things like engineering or space travel to the human body and medicine. They just work completely differently. Mother nature and living things are just really complicated, and only so many substances exist to try to intervene to fix things. its not easy to do.
IMO male pattern baldness wont be cured in our life times. Your best off using the big 3, and hoping someday in 4 or 5 years for a big 4 with some other thing to add to the big 3. The big 3 will never go away anytime soon
