I'm just about at the three month mark on finasteride. For the past two months, I've undergone some pretty terrible shedding.
But in the last week and a half, things seem to have improved dramatically. I added a good moisturizing conditioner to combat the nizoral dry scalp, and surprisingly, my scalp stopped the flaking in a matter of days.
But a week ago, I was standing in front of the mirror, and decided to check out how things were going. I ran my wet hand through my hair, and checked my hand. This is something I have avoided doing for the last month and a half. But... no hair was on my fingers, when before, there would be at least five strands each time. I ran it through again, and again, and again. Finally... one hair.
Next, I tried a vigorous shampooing. After careful inspection, I found three hairs on my hands. Before, it would be about twenty.
I don't want to get my hopes up, but it seems that things may be turning around. Granted, after that shed, my hair is in worse condition than ever.
Let's just pray the shedding is done (for now :lol
and things can start improving. Or... at least not getting any worse. That would be fine by me.
