I think my intestines are too big

I think it is from stretching them from drinking large amounts of water at once or taking full advantage of some all you can eat deals. My father stretched out his intestines over a 10 year period of constipation. Mine aren't bed, and I can suck them in. But I have very little fat on my stomach, and it hangs out bad when relaxed.

Anyway, I used to over eat when I went to all-you-can eat places. Then I went to one with a friend who only filled one plate and left. I was shocked. But then it made sense to me. Why stuff yourself just because it is free? That is not healthy. It is a waste to finish your plate when you are no longer hunger, unless you are very poor and want to store some fat for later.

I'm going to try to sip all the water I drink, and only eat small meals, and see if my size decreases any. Also, I will suck it in a lot to strengthen those muscles. Maybe if they get strong enough, they will stay contracted all the time. I still have 1/4 inch of fat I can lose down there. So that could help too.

How do you know its your intestines being stretched? Couldnt it just be bloat? I get constipated alot and i get bloat..When i do it looks like i have a gut..Could it be that?

Maybe, but I'm never constipated. And I don't get cramps. I do have a lot of gas though. Funny. Maybe if I end my gas problem, my stomach will look smaller. I've had gas for years. Lots of it. I stopped eating beans, and that got rid of more than half of it. But still have plenty.

I know lots of guys who have small stomachs and love to eat 4-5 slices of pizza at a time. So maybe stuffing is not the cause. I'm sure if I were obese and at a lot each day, I'd make my stomach bigger. But have on occasion drank a whole quart of water down at once. Sometimes I drank more than that. 16oz is normal for me. I wonder if that stretches my intestines.

"I've stretched my intestines" WTF
 Looking at posts like this one shows conclusive evidence that you are either making this stuff up or you have a serious psychological problem. :hairy: :freaked:

yo you probably just have bad posture. if you stand up straight, you'd be surprised at the difference. you work out right? do some planks and stomach vacuums and you'll be good. I really doubt your intestines are larger than normal just because you drink lots of water and eat at buffets.

Intestinal bloating, to my understanding, can also be caused by dehydration and/or malnutrition.

its stomach distention...eating LARGE MEALS...youre correct though eat 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 BIG meals...

Like the other poster said...try doing stomach vacuums 3x a week....they work.

stomach vacuums are where you completely exhale and suck it in, some people say you're supposed to hold your breath, some don't. but posture is really more important, stomach vacuums just help. Stomach vacuums work the transversus abdominis, which is also worked by doing planks. (go to a bodybuilding site to see how to do them.
Since i've started working out my posture has improved, and apart from having a flat and strong midsection, I even gained a good inch or two on my height. Also makes you look much more self-confident.
The water doesn't do anything to your intestines.

you shouldnt hold your breath...ur lungs should be empty...all air exhaled. Try to touch your stomach to your spine...;) hold for as long as you can. Do 3sets 3x a week. Try to add a few seconds every week.

hmm midsection fatness and a constant thirst. two of the main symptoms of insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes.

I'm not fat at all. Just I have nice abs above my belley button, and then I have an arc bellow my belley button that sticks out 1/2 inch. Soon i'll have another ab down there, but I want the arc to be gone. It is gone when I suck it all in.

As for my insulin, I my blood sugar in the middle of the day was 90. Normal is 80-120.

I'm not constantly thirsty. But I do go long periods without drinking, and then drink a lot to catch up.

ditto that. At first i didn't think they would help much because there isn't any movement involved but they really do help. It's also good for your lower back
