So, I've been taking finasteride from 4rx for the last 5 years. Had great success. Bumped it up to 1.25mg a day a while ago and got even better results on the crown. However, I switched to a new brand of 5mg pills. Previously I'd been using Cipla 5mg finasteride, but this other stuff was another brand (I'm at work, so I don't have it in front of me). It was the same size as the 1mg tabs, but I figured that they were 5mg because it said so on the blister pack. I've taken 14 pills, so nearly 2 months on it. At first everything was ok....but then....
I started to shed.
Then I noticed that my semen was a lot thicker.
And then my scalp started to itch, a LOT.
So, I went to my Doctor and explained the situation to him and asked for a scrip for 5mg generic Proscar. He was more than happy to provide it. Went to the local Wal-Mart pharamacy and picked up 8 tabs for $4 (that's 24 days worth, so $60 for a YEAR). I'm on day 3 of the LEGIT stuff, and I have the familiar ball ache that I got when I started finasteride the first time (at .5mg) and again when I upped it to 1.25mg.
Needless to say, I'm 100% done with this generic stuff from India. Seriously, $4 for 24 days of LEGIT finasteride is a total steal. I just hope that I can get back some of the frontal loss I've had in the last 2 months. It's not TERRIBLE, but I can see a difference :thumbdown2:
