I am still utilizing a salon for my entire hair process. While pricey for sure, I am mostly satisfied with the results I get. They have really been invaluable in walking me thru this whole process, and addressing any concerns.
My hair is medium brown with 40% gray. We do color it just to give it a bit more depth in color. Additionally, we bleach the knots, and these two steps give me a very natural match. People continually. Moment on how natural everything looks. My hair is 100% natural hair- and I was told the gray is too. When asked why when they color the hair, the gray doesn’t go brown, the comment is, gray hair doesn’t hold color. because everything has looked really good, I haven’t given it much thought,
My normal routine is one pump of diamond oil to give a bit of sheen to my hair, and a small dollop of mouse to give a bit of weight to my hair. however on my latest unit, I noticed the next morning when getting ready for work, my hair had more shine. Not sheen, but sparkley shine. I’m. not sure if it is on the gray hair, or on both the brown and gray, but it is noticeable. No one has said anything, but I certainly have noticed. To lessen that shine, I replaced the mouse with gel.
So my question is, how can I tell that if I have synthetic hair mixed in my unit? I have noticed three things on this unit
1. When I shampoo, I’m really getting more lather with the same effort. I shampoo very gently
2. On this unit, I’m not getting any tangle. normally if I rn a comb thru my hair before I condition, I have tangles. Not on this one.
3. The texture feels just slightly off on this unit. Between shampoos, i use purified or distilled water via a spray bottle to keep my hair feeling looking and feeling less dry. But on this unit, it just doesn’t feel the same. When styling, this hair want to frizz ore than I’ve experienced.
I’m on a pretty generous program. Three week maintenance cycle, with new hair on every other visit, so this is my 5th new house it. So on the grand scheme of things, I’m still pretty new, and learning more every time.
