Hi guys...

I'm from Israel and I'm 18 and my grammar in English isn't so good so I hope you'll understand me anyway ...

6 months ago I have noticed that I'm shedding ... I went to the dermatologist and she told me that my male pattern baldness is just started and I should start using minoxidil 5% ... so after 2 months of denial I start using minoxidil 5% ... after 2 weeks on minoxi I have noticed that my shedding is stopped ! after week and a half my shedding is returned and bigger ... I knew that the shedding is because of the minoxidil and it should stop after a month ... the shedding is slowed down and 2 months after I have noticed that I have improvement ... I was so happy ! a month later big shedding is started again and it didn't slow down very much and I'm still having shedding right now ... I think I have deterioration after 4 months of using minoxidil 5% ...

Regime:
minoxidil 5% liquid (once a day, every day, 14-15 clicks)
here is a picture of minoxidil that is look allmost the same as mine: bottlehttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/317DhyM1MsL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
nizoral 2% 2 times a week
xerial p shampoo 3 times a week

notice: I can't use minoxidil twice a day because I don't have enough time ...

here is some pictures of the first time I realized my male pattern baldness is started:

well to me it does look like you did have improvement at month 3... however the lighting and angles seem to be different which can throw you off.

My guess is your just going through a shed like you said.... I would continue use of minoxidil....should not make your hair worse...

good luck

so do you think minoxidil is working on me even though i have this shed ?.. when do you think it will end and would new hair will grow instead of those who have fell ?..

and when you say "it does look like you did have improvement at month 3" you mean that i had deterioration since month 3 to now ?..

My guess would be that you probably just had another shed.... you can have more then one shed.. your hair goes through cycles

my advice would be to stick it out for 6-8 months and then see if you had any regrowth and if you want to continue with minoxidil

It might just be another shed.

But truth be told, your situation isn't that bad. As Swanson said, hang in there for 6-8 months and see if anything happens for you first before you fret too much.

And judging by your pics, you can easily conceal your loss with stylistic changes to your haircut.

i know that my situation isn't so bad but if i didn't use minoxidil to stop or slow it down my situation could be worse ...

and about the hair style ... i don't want to change my hair style (becuase this one it's the only one which is fits to me) i just want my hair back (like all of us) ...

is there gonna be more sheds and new hair would be grow instead of those who fell or not ? :(

Shedding is normal for minoxidil, and yes we will experience alot of shedding throughout your life. Minoxidil kinds of forces a new hair cycle sporadically. Your hair will thicken over time but will fall out and grow again.

I have noticed your photo's and noticed that you only have minor hairloss. You should have started on finasteride (1mg) first and not minoxidil. Minoxidil stimulates hair growth but does'nt really retain hair.

Finasteride will keep the hair what you have and will regrow hair mostly only in the crown. It usually fails on the temple / hairline. Instead for the hairline you can use minoxidil which does work if you stick with it.

As you are lazy and don't have the time just to put minoxidil morning and night, I suggest you to use finasteride (1mg - merck).

I have read on the net that taking propecia/finasteride is not so good at age of 18 ... so minoxidil won't stop my hairloss never ?..
