I think historically the British army has won the most wars over the past 500 years - we literally owned a third of the world - obviously we gave it back because we felt guilty, but still.

The French army were pretty handy back in the day but ww1 turned them into a nation of cowards - it broke their national spirit.

Germans are brave but they always lose in the end.

Russians are like the Chinese - if you kill one they break in half and two pop out. That's why its okay to kills chinks and slavs (joking!)

There is a big difference between defeating primal tribes you fought in Africa and Asia and Nazi Germany or Turkey.

The aim in a war is not to get bombed or your people killed. Historically UK have been great at this, which I believe is thought to be primarily down to the fact that they are an island. No land borders.

I do not say UK did wrong or whatever but postulate that UK saved EU from Nazi is ridiculous. On UK side I'd act same especially after bloody WW1 where they clashed with germans on the ground like USSR did in 1941.

Even Italy did more to defeat Nazi as their ally by involuntary sabotaging them and forcing Germany to send reinforcement because of poverty Italy army performance (even against tribal africans).
