I stopped Minoxidil after 3 years...not a good idea

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

I have been taking minoxidil 5% (lotion first and 18mnths foam) with very strong results. I'm a diffuse thinner and had decent regrowth all over, maintaining what I had. I decided to give myself a rest about 2.5 months ago and am I sorry??? :badmood:

My hair has been falling out at an incredible rate, probably only slowing down in the last 2 weeks. I am certainly more bald than I was at the pre-minoxidil stage and await the order I placed this week to start again.

Before anyone suggests it I have had a very bad experience with propecia and tits, the only other thing I use is Nizoral shampoo.

Hope this serves as a warning to those thinking of stopping Minoxidil suddenly...I just hope that I get my regrowth back because currently I look like sh*t!

Well I stopped minoxidil after 1 year and went straight on to tricomin. I underwent a huge shed for 2 months which has only slowed down 2 weeks ago. I'm on finpecia for 7 months now.

I am going to wait another few months to see if finpecia stabilises/regrows and tricomin helps to strengthen exisitng hair.

My reasons to quit minoxidil 5% was sides such as bad dark circles and headaches throughout the day.

Although I feel that it was due to me exceeding 1 ml dosage as i wud apply it only once a day. I intend to start again with 0.5 ml along hairline only.

I wouldn't bother, if it causes you side effects and you have already lost the gains from using it....i'd buy prox-n instead.

I stopped the minoxidil because of headaches and I won't take the Propecia again because I don't want the tits back (used Tamoxifen to shift them).

I'll look at the prox-n...have many had success with it here?

Look like sh*t at the moment and nearly ready to admit defeat
