Yes Tricomin contains copper peptides which are clinically proven to help hairloss. The shampoo would have been a good idea - as you cant use Nizoral everyday.

Tricomin helps... Stick with it, twice a day, or at least once per day -- after a shower on a nice, clean scalp.

I have a theory that people really like tricomin because it has a leave-in conditioner. You put it on, your hair looks nice, and over time that builds a positive reenforcement for the product.

Smart people those guys at Tricomin!

won't hurt ya! It's cool you got 2 bottles - which means you're good for 6 months +. I never went back to tric after my first bottle just because I haven't been able to afford it. I had some left over folligen - and have been using that instead. Maybe this summer I'll go back to tric if the finance gods are in my corner :)

i believe in copper complex does help in overall effort.

the problem is no one really know the impact of having lower concentration in the retail version of Tricomin. rather than due to a "better delivery system", i believe the real reason that they reduce the concentration of copper complex is to cut cost. did they really test how well does the "better delivery system" work? i doubt so.

that why i am thinking of using folligen but since i am unable to order online for the time being, i brought the seriously over price tricomin first.

still, there are debate whether the "2nd generation" CP use in folligen is really as good as it claim. it certainly sound like they mixed hydrolyzed soy protein with copper chloride and randomly forming different type of Copper-Peptides while Tricomin specific copper peptide is extract in lab.

at least from what i read in forums, most users found that folligen is a better choice if you don't add in the staining effect and irritation some experience.

I'm a firm believer in stronger isn't always better.

Stronger = Much more scalp irritation.
Stronger = More itch / inflammation.

If you have a strong desire to use random copper peptides, and just want a hell of alot of them, Folligen is your product. Yes, it's stronger. Yes, it has more copper in general. Is it better? Don't think so. Infact, I doubt it. The entire point of SOD is to reduce scalp inflammation and create a healthy environment. How, then, can you say it's better to have an extremely potent product that irritates the scalp?

Also, the significant amount of random copper in the folligen is even questionable.

Also true.

I didn't mean to imply Tricomin was better. I just think that it's wrong to state Folligen is superior cause it has more crap in it. :)

I used to go w/ 7 - 10 spritzes of folligen - which sometimes would irritate my scalp and always crap up my hair.

The spray bottle clogged up permanently - couldn't clean it out - so I ended up emptying the remaining contents of my folligen into an old cleaned out minoxidil dropper bottle.

I've found that if I keep the folligen application to 1/2 to 2/3 ml - which is enough to wet my scalp - it doesn't crap up my hair at all. No problem w/ staining either.

come to think of it. where did the news of tricomin containing less CP then the original forumla come from? is it directly from ProCyte? i remember reading Bryan wrote that it might not be true.

i send them a message through their website asking them to confirm but so far no reply.
