Well, I'm finally fed up with my hair loss. I just graduated from high school and I believe I started noticing my hair loss almost a year ago. I believe it's a receding hairline. I'm not sure what to do, or who to even go to for treatment. I've had longer hair from my Sophomore year on, so I really do not know exactly how long it has been. My hair on my forehead is thinning and I believe I'm in the "shedding" phase. I've also noticed a bald spot forming. What recommendations for treatment would you guys give me at this stage? I read a lot about it, and I believe I need a DHT Inhibitor and a Growth Stimulant, but you be the judge. Oh, and I'll be 19 in 2 days, so I AM over 18. Thanks in advance.

PS- I'll snap some pictures ASAP

*edit* I'd say I'm somewhere around 2a on the Norwood scale

you either need the big two or the big three

thats

finasteride (propecia,proscar,fincar etc)
nizoral 2% shampoo
rogaine foam 5%

finasteride will maintain what you have
the foam will regrow
and the nizoral is good for a healthy scalp and maybe a maintenance

just look into 'the big three' on this site, youll def find a regimen that suits you best

good luck

Alright, I have a few questions about the products:

1. How much do these products usually run?

2. What are all of my options for Finasteride? At least the most common ones...I've heard good things about Propecia, but I'd like to know more about the others. All I need is a name and I can do the research myself if you'd like.

3. What are some side effects of the products?

4. Where would I get the products? Dermatologist? Other specialist? OTC?

Once again, thank you very much.

Everyone reacts different to Finasteride, I started taking it whin I was 22. It killed my libedo and my boner. The younger you are when you take that stuff the more likely you are to mess with your growth and devolpment. But for others it seems to work like a charm. Take it and if you feel different stop and every thing should go back to normal.
