I know it is hard but for Finasteride it is best to evaluate the situation in 6-8 months as opposed to 4. I would not add Duasteride. You can always talk to a dermatologist about PRP and if you would be a good candidate (like if you have a bald spot). If you have an actual bald area and no new hairs growing you can apply Minoxidil.

Thanks for the response. I use minoxidil as well in the once a day in the evenings. Isn’t the shedding suppose to be stopping from finasteride in months 3/4 not increasing though?

4 month ago my hair was much thicker. And these picture are all when my hair is dry. When it’s wet you can see scalp and I have longer hair... first photo is top, next two are temples and last is a side shot of my head where you can see scalp. I’m a diffuse thinner as you can tell.

When were these photos taken? Were the areas of actual thinning larger or the same? Do you have any pics of that? The first looks wet, you are saying this is dry?

Too early to evaluate, give it a year. I wouldn't add anything more to your regime right now. In my experience minoxidil thinned my hair so i stopped using it, now i recommend people use finasteride alone for a year and seeing the results before deciding whether or not minoxidil is needed.

Interesting I’ve always thought min thinned my hair as well. I started min 8 months ago and since then I feel like my hair loss accelerated. I’m afraid to get off it and lose a ton of hair. Should I taper off?

Yeah i was only using it for 3/4 months on my crown and i feel it thinned it. I am expecting to shed for a few months and return to the stage where my hair was pre minoxidil in 6 or 7 months. Wish i never started it. Most people here recommend using minoxidil with finasteride but i would say it's best just to use finasteride and perhaps nizoral for a year first before thinking about minoxidil.

It is up to you, personally i wish i never started and and think my hair will be better off in 6 or 7 months time without it. I should also add that i was getting side effects like bloated face, that was another reason i stopped it.
