Go to a dermatologist to make sure it's not something triggering your shedding BUT it looks like early male pattern baldness I am afraid but more defuse instead of receding....it may not be you need a Dr to examine you.

If its male pattern baldness you need a Dr anyway to get on meds. And if its Telogen Effluvium of some kind (shedding that can grow back) you need to figure out if you have a trigger of some kind..but most likely its male pattern baldness I think. (sorry)
Your young so if you get on drugs you can maybe thicken up again. Its early.

The dermatologist told me it was probably telogen effl, but it seems most terms these days don't know much about hair loss. The thing is I truly can't seen to find a personal, successful Telogen Effluvium story anywhere I look. Do people actually experience temporary hair loss? and also if it is male pattern do you seriously think I have a shot and getting my thickness back. Does male pattern baldness usually have excess hair shedding associated with it? also this hair loss pretty much happened one day to the next and wasn't really a gradual process.

Okay it is starting to sound like Telogen Effluvium then...you may have chronic Telogen Effluvium...Yes i do read women on the female forum who have had recovery from Telogen Effluvium..i cant tell you exactly because its not my kind of hair loss so i have not paid a lot of attention to it.

Try and go over any medication you are taking, supplements anything new witthin last 6 months to year or so.

like anti depressants, anti anxiety, aderall etc these can all be triggers to Telogen Effluvium. Accutan is sometimes a big one.

the good news is if its JUST Telogen Effluvium then your follicle is still alive undamaged. Your hair is not dying it is your body putting it prematurely into rest stage and shedding...it should be growing back...I do not think it delays or stops the regrowth cycle..(not sure though ask the Dr)

I was on vyvanse for two years on and off and I had chronic stress at the time of initial hair loss. I haven't taken anything since this started just for the fear of it affecting my hair even worse. IN light of the worst possible scenario, do people actually see significant regrowth through propecia and rogaine? would you say my hair loss qualifies for rogaine treatment?

If its Angrogenci rogain and propecia can help if you are a good responder--it helps many people.
But I don't know if its androgenic since you are saying you shed hair in one or two days.
You have to see another Dr to get a biopsy maybe. its small does not hurt.
