Can you post some pics of the system against your bio hair, so we can see how the colour compares? Of course it's hard to get a true representation of the colours on computer screen, but it would help us to give you an answer. Also, is it a stock or custom unit? It does sometimes take a bit of experimentation to get the colour matching between a hair system and your bio hair, but you will get there.

Hi, the system does look darker than your bio hair. I would suggest you get a system one or 2 shades lighter. Are you familiar with how to do colour matching, i.e. with a colour ring or hair sample?

Are you able to return it for a replacement? If not, one other option could be to dye your bio hair to match the colour of the system as closely as possible, then next time get a lighter colour.

I don't think anyone Caucasian should be going near a #1 colour (or a #2). For example, I have Chinese clients who are best suited to a #4 on the colour chart for root touch-ups.

so what do you recomend acording to my pics? thanks

It's impossible for us to recommend the exact colour match for you based on pics on a computer screen. My advice is to contact your hair system supplier and ask them what would be the best colour match. You definitely need to go at least 1 or 2 shades lighter for sure.

From the little I can see from your photos, I think you need a lower density unit with maybe 15-20% grey through it. I can't gauge the colour from your photos, but I think anything darker than a #3 is too much.

so 1b with 10-20 grey on it or another #colour number?
Definitely lower density and definitely lighter, my friend. The suggestion regarding adding Grey is also a good one.

If I were you, I would probably experiment with the piece once received as you have quite diffuse hair loss on your sides, so you may like to randomly pluck some hairs from your piece.

But take your time and get comfortable first.
but what color is that one? what number?

Hmmm not sure I agree with that. Typically #1 you do see a darker complexion individual, however I think Caucasian’s can wear #2. I can pull off wearing a #2 (although I am 50% Puerto Rican you would never know this looking at me).

Although the shades are a little bit off here, I think this explains hair colour chart numbers a little bit better. Numbers 1, 2 and 3 are all variations on black.

Most of the charts I’ve seen show 1 as black, 2 as darkest brown, 3 medium brown.

I really wish there was a standard for all things in the hair industry! It’s 99% of the reason why people disagree on here! :)
