Do you have any pics of the growth?? Before after?
I will in 3-4 months when my hair reaches the same length as it did before buzzing for accurate comparison purposes. I can't show you a pic with 2.5 inch hair and a pic with 1/8th of an inch hair and expect you to be able to compare accurately. But if you want to see pics now, Aplunk regrew his crown and top with dutasteride quite well. Check out his pic threads and you'll see the results.

As for you explanation of Avodart and Glaxo.......I am not buying it. Anecdotal at best. If it does what it says it would clearly rival if not top propecia.
It topped it in studies. Ask Bryan. There is no question that dutasteride is a more effective and more powerful drug at treating hair loss than finasteride. No question at all.
It does more than rival it but because it's not FDA approved for male pattern baldness, few know about its benefits. You may say its dangerous, and I say fine, your opinion, but no proof. But it is ridiculous to dispute that dutasteride is a more effective drug than finasteride.
You may not buy the study data but here it is:
These are the results of the GlaxoSmithKline testing of GI198745 otherwise known as Dutasteride for hair loss. These results were taken from the Phase II study required for FDA approval. The Phase III trials for hair loss are scheduled to begin in February/March of 2003 in the US. The drug is expected to be on the market for hair loss in 2006 if approved."
Ignore the dates because that's not what;'s important. What's important is hair count results. We all now know that dutasteride will never be approved by the FDA because Glaxo doesn't want to spend the money. Look at Propecia, FDA approved drug. Very poor sales. Only maybe 2% of men in the country have ever tried it.
Those results were after only 6 months on only Avodart as conducted by Glaxo in FDA studies.
"This graph shows that after six month of treatment, the hair counts measured in a 1 inch diameter circle increased by about ~96 hairs with 0.5mg Dutasteride, compared to about ~72 hairs with 5mg Finasteride. The hair counts increased significantly with an increase in dosage with the biggest gain being ~108 hairs with a dose of 2.5mg Dutasteride.
So compared to 5mg Finasteride (Proscar), 2.5 mg Dutasteride grew about 1.5 times as many hairs. "
Here's the graph:
As for more personal results, as I said, I'll have great pics to show in 3-4 months, but for now, even though you may not believe me, I'm reporting my top looking and feeling a LOT thicker, my crown visibly filling in, and regrowth of terminal hairs on the hairline as well as some terminals in the tops of my temples as well as a lot of vellus hairs scattered around the temples. I know that these results are from Avodart because I'm only on Avodart, Nano, and Nizoral, with no minoxidil.
