college, I was born in India and currently on track in getting US citizenship.
In June 2004, I got back on minoxidil (with azelaic acid). Started generic finasteride on August 2004. I was on it till June 2005. Used US genuine proscar with a prescription from my doctor till Feb 2006. Went to India this June for my brother's marriage, and to get my hair transplant.
I was wondering if starting genuine finasteride on June 2004 would have helped. My answer was not much.
At my state, treatments are only to hold the sides and the back and to thicken the existing hairs.
As you said, the internet pharmacies make a huge profit by selling the actual drug from the reputed labs CIPLA or Dr. Reddy's. So, I don't see them cheating.
Regarding your post on servants, that is interesting. The urban India in some places can be more modernized than even the west coast in the US (the pubs/bars, high heels, etc). The country side still remains poor and under developed.
(My parents pay 5$ a month for 24 hours DSL highspeed connection. They used to pay 50$ per month for dial up not long ago. They can choose 1 among 3 or 4 DSL companies. The internet and communication are changing things very quickly.
As opposed to the banks in the US which work 8-5 monday to friday, they have banks, hairdressers and pretty much any services available till 10 pm 7 days a week).
