Alright. If my father is bald, is there a 100% chance that i will get bald too? And if the chance is full, is the balding going to happen in the same age in me as it happened in my father ? Also, is there a possibility that my receding could be different than the receding of my father ? How strong is the gene ? What do we actually inherit, from the father side, or the mother side, simply a gene, or receptors or what ? Does it mean that if i look more like my father, i would suffer from his bad genes, and if i look more like my mother, i would not ??? Does the outside appearance have any key role in this, or not ??
And also, why arent the medications aimed at numbing the sensitivity of the DHT receptors in scalp (if this theory is true of course), but they aim at preventing DHT formation in the blood ? And if its not true, then this would mean that DHT is produced right in the follicle, isnt it so ? What is true and what is not ?
And does it mean that if you have more body hair, you are more likely/prone to be bald ???
Some of these questions may seem stupid, but i just want to know ...

No, but obviously the balding gene is there. Only way you could really know is if you got your hair checked for miniaturization every 6 months or so. If you did start balding you could jump on finasteride and keep it or dramatically slow down the balding. I believe once hair loss is visible to the human eye, you have already lost a fair bit. I'll let someone else answer the other queries.

Yes, the scalp hair follicles is one of the locations where DHT is produced. Type 2 5-alpha reductase is predominantly concentrated there and the prostate. Blocking this will reduce blood levels of DHT too.

My father was a NW3 by age 25 yet I didn't start thinning until 38, I don't think you can make reliable predictions of how it will progress by simply looking at family member's balding patterns.
