Rogaine doesn't lose it's effectiveness. If it gave you a +20% increase in density when you started it will likely always give you about a +20% increase in density.
It doesn't stop you balding though. So if after 2 years you were going to lose 20% density then after two years on minoxidil you will be back to where you started. Although if you stopped at this time you would drop the 20%.
Some slow balding people might get 5 - 10 years before they are back to what they were at when they started. Other's will only get 1 - 2 years. It all depends on the speed of your balding and how well you respond (eg. +10%, +20% etc).
Where did minoxidil bring you?I got ya. I was a Norwood 2.5 at 20. Started balding at 16
Where did minoxidil bring you?
Pavi, how has the 2% Ketoconazole been working for you? I got a prescription for it before from my GP once, and it's like a red syrup color. It wasn't long before I stopped using it as it fried my hair, it's extremely drying let alone all the sulfates in it. That was a while ago, it was before I even got on Dutasteride.
Minoxidil is good though, glad to know it's helping you.![]()
So the hairline moved down? Could you take a look at my most recent thread and give your opinion based on your own experience?Thicker NW2
