I have a question

Hi im alex in 21 years old and my mom and dad always told me i have 2 cowlicks in the same spot, of course ive never looked at the back of my head till now lol. I didnt know cowlicks can part your hair and make it look like a bald spot!!!

Anyways can you tell me if these are cowlicks or if its androgenic alopecia i hope not... Anywho my hair is cut really short as well so im sure it brings it out more....

Hey man im not trying to piss anyone off, im just trying to get answers. I mean i lose hairs throughough the day but only notice it when i rub my hand through it. So like is the normal hair loss range really 100-150 a day? Cause i think im losing about 40-50

I'm not entirely sure, you may wanna let it grow out a little. Also, can you post pics of the hairline? The majority of guys recede some in the hairline before the crown goes.

At this point I wouldn't worry about it too much and probably just keep an eye on it. By letting it grow out a little bit you can probably tell easier...it does kinda look double cow-lick/spiral to me at this point.

I mean yeah my hairline has receding but that doesnt necesarilly mean im gonna lose my crown. My father has a bit of a receding hair line but no balding. So i figured id probably get that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's just a dual-swirl going on there.

I have the same thing going on in my hair, but I haven't had my hair as short as yours since I was 13-14.

Just keep an eye on it but don't obsess, take pictures every 4-6 months just to make sure, you can post them here in this topic if you want more opinions at that point in time.

I just dont understand, when i pull on it (NOT HARD) i usually pull 1 hair out like every other time i do it. however when i rub my hand through my hair i only see like 1 hair sometimes none. Idk if its me freaking out. And analyzing things more or what.

Yeah u probably think im wierd that i pull on my hair lol.

But when i wake up in the morning i dont have barley any hair on my pillow. (5 is the most i ever saw)

So idk. Maybe cause im stressing its falling out again.

You do realize 10-20% of hairs are in telogen phase at any given time, which would make them easy to pull out. You have nothing to worry about.
