I Hate My Dermatologist!!!! I Mean For Re

I'm on finesteride for more than a year and suddenly my dermatologist tells me "look I usually dont give so much of these to people so u must visit me again to continue getting it and let me see your hair.
There are too many side effects to this and I only allow it when it cosmetically needed.

And guess what??
I cant find an available time for her until February
And I'm almost out of pills

I mean wtf??
I'm nw2-2.5 and I need it. What does she want? She wants to allow me getting it only if I'm nw4?

I can purchase it in any pharmacy but for full price. If the dermatologist gives a prescription that allows me to purchase it for 50% less which is alot because it's expensive af.
It costs 40$ without a prescription and 20$ if the doctor allows.
I cant afford myself to buy that chit for 40$/month.. I'm a student with 0 income.

I hate her so much . She is a woman and cant understand what we are going through.

You can buy a years worth of proscar (5mg dose) for basically the same price as a monthly 1mg dose .

Op, this is really bad advice. Dutasteride don't have less side effect, and there are generic forms of finasteride too.

honestly have not tried any of them but i read that dustaride was supposed to be better but dont know from personal experience.

I have been fighting for years and going to many different doctors and only recently got a dutasteride script. Avoid female doctors, nothing disgusts them more than a man who is concealing his weak genetics.

I waited till Friday because I know it's her day off. Then I called her office, and wanna guess who answered? The replacing doctor, some dude.
I told him "hey, as you can see I have a permanent perspiration to Finesteride, and I'm taking it more than a year already. I need a new one for the next 2 months."

And you know what was his reply?
"Yeah of course. Be well."

That's easy.
f*** this woman doctor who requires me to come for a regular check up just to may give me or may not my needed treatment.

Try Keeps or Hims.

You could also split the pills in half to make them last longer, a half mg of finasteride blocks almost as much dht as a full mg.

It's sucks when you have a doctor squeezing every last dollar from you.

Positive. A full milligram of finasteride will, on average, block about 68% of dht, only a fifth of a milligram will block 61%.

Google "finasteride dosing hair loss", you can easily find results of Merck's dosing trial done in the 90s.

1 mg is more effective of course, but in a pinch where you need to make a limited number of pill last longer halving the pills is nearly as good and better than running out and having no finasteride.

$40 for a prescription? That’s extraordinarily expensive; it’s less than $20/month where I’m from, without a doctors prescription.
