I finally realized why Dutasteride doesn't work for me and maybe for others

So what's the bottom line in this? I really want to know because I for one am losing hair even on Dutasteride 0.5 mg daily.

Bottom line is that dutasteride will save your hair 99.9% of the time.

From my point of view, there is no much difference in chemical structure of T and DHT except two hydrogen atoms added to DHT formation. Pure logic says in that case chemical instructions transmitted by T and DHT should be the same. Only reason why DHT is much more dangerous for scalp hair lies in fact it has grater affinity to AR, obviously because of changed properties of molecular binding.

I don't have studies which show devastating effects of T to dermal papila cells in vitro. But I believe they exist on web.

In my theory it all depends how sensitive your follicles are; the number of AR they contain, and/or how sensitive is each of those ARs. If there is great number of AR in DP then there is high probability DHT or other androgens will attach to it and transmit programed instructions. There is just one type of AR in all cells, there is no T receptor or DHT receptor. Risk of loosing hair in front is higher because of increased numbers of AR in those areas or other factors including less blood supply, aromatic/5ard concentrations ratio. Remember even some females can develop mature hairline.
I hope you are wrong(for my own sake). Anyway addition of a few atoms can drastically change the nature and behaviour of molecule, for e.g. ethanol and methanol. IMO T is not that strong to have a strong effect as DHT to cause male pattern baldness. Please if you could, post those studies about T's role in male pattern baldness.

hey redstar what do you have to say about T's role in male pattern baldness??

T kills your hair btw . I ve seen also a study showing that T will cause necrosis of hair cells ,while dht doesnt cause that.
Also Dht has 5 x more affinity to AR but even too much of 1/5 of that in testosteron will cause your hair fall out.

some ppl are sensitive to Testosterone ,thats why finasteride /dutasteride will destroy your hairline .

@ Royd: better try also RU , then your higher T from dutasteride wont harm that much the hair follicles

This is why we need CB-03-01. Unlike finasteride or dutasteride which only deal with DHT, CB has been found to prevent both DHT and Testosterone from affecting the hair follicles. And of course, it is side-effect free. I really hope it is on the shelves soon.

saying that isn t that much better . So why does not everyone jump on dutasteride and have never ever probs with hairloss?
I see enough story of peoples hair got worse while on dutasteride

Yeah Im one of those people whos hair got worse on dutasteride. I started on finasteride at 20, was on it for 2 years saw myself getting worse, figured why not switch to dutasteride, I tapered off the finasteride and went on .5 a day of dutasteride. Its been 5 and a half months now and Im considerably worse, I cant tell if its a shed, it doesnt feel like it. The front is receding considerably at the temples, but the top back is starting to thin and you can see to the scalp in certain areas. I figured at first that it was making my front worse, but because my back isnt getting any better I figure its something with my testosterone levels now. I got on nizoral recently and have a microneedle roller. Im thinking of getting RU soon but its so damn expensive I cant afford it yet.

I feel like I need to cut my dutasteride dosage to 3-4 times a week instead of every day and see if that helps. Is it possible that finasteride works better for my body chemistry and dutasteride just isnt as effective even though its supposed to reduce DHT levels more then finasteride? Im starting to feel helpless now, I know that your hair doesnt really get any better but I was hoping it wouldnt get worse. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I don't care about stories. I care about peer reviewed clinical trials.

and so much bull**** people here making other ppl hopes to get on such drugs with sentences like " dutasteride works 99.9%" . Since its individual it will never work 99,9% . Show me a clinical trial with nearly 100% success rate ,ty.

@ pacman : better try out RU. It isnt that expensive . I m spending like 35$ a month for my own made 3% solution

kaneshop is 165$ for 10g?
if you use 50mg daily (about 1,5ml of 3% solution for your whole head) then u can use this 10g for approx. 200 days.

Didn't the latest dutasteride studies show that 99% of all the men were above baseline after the intial trial phase?

I'm on my 6th finasteride month and I am yet to see any improvements sadly. Frontal hair loss age 19.

why u still on finasteride then?

Thanks Opti, Ive seen that place before but the one report I read said they used a lot higher concentration of RU to Min. I am just getting a job so initially couldnt afford that, but soon I will be able to. Im hoping it regrows my temples as they have receded recently seemingly especially with the dutasteride. I cant tell if its what everyone is talking about with the T being increased and having an adverse effect on my frontal hairline. I will be cutting my dosage to 3-4 times a week for a month or two and see if that along with Keto, Min and soon RU. Im not shedding from what I can tell it seems more like general thinning. I dont notice hairs everywhere I just see the follicles getting thinner and you can more easily see to the scalp. This leads me to believe im not in a shedding phase and more so that my T levels are elevated because of dutasteride taking down the DHT.
