I feel i´m at a dead end and need advice

I´back at this forum since a couple of years away because i felt the regimens i tried in the past weren´t working and gave up completly to fight hairloss.

Since last August i took a decision to start treatments again and opted for Xandrox 15% Plus and Minoxidil 6%. Today my hair is worse than in August so i may need to try different approaches to combat hairloss and need a bit of advice.

I´ve ordered two bottles of Spectral DNC to use in the morning and evening before bed. I´ve started using spironolactone 5% cream in the evening also and Nizoral 2x week but i will order Revita performance shampoo also.

So:

- Spectral DNC (2x day)
- spironolactone 5% cream (evening)
- Revita Performance Shampoo (5x week)

I used finastride two times in the past both in the course of one year but the side-effects made me back off it and from what i keep reading i think it´s better to be healthy inside and bald than the opposite as the sexual sides aren´t worth it.

I was also thinking of adding Revivogen to combat DHT with spironolactone but i don´t know if all this is worth it or if i should just stick with Spectral DNC or try another anti-DHT.
There´s a bunch of things out there that i don´t know which one to choose.

Thanks for your help in advance.

How long did you give the 15% minoxidil regimen to work?

Heya man :)

There seem to be multiple potentially successful approaches to fighting hair loss as far as I can tell, which I guess is why I've had such a hard time sticking to a regimen! lol

The direct approach such as on here I think is strongest with finasteride, RU (or spironolactone), fluridil, revivogen (or crinagen), and something like Nanominox FMS would give a strong minoxidil kick without overdoing it. Stronger still might be xandrox with retin-A. Oh, and copper peptides and stuff probably help :)

As a back-up for something like that, I think the best proven enhancers are curcumin, grape seed extract, coenzyme A, EGCG, nettle root and gliSODin, at least as far as I can work out. Something like borage oil and beta-sitosterol added to that might give a DHT reduction that will be lacking without finasteride. Perhaps also zinc and b6. Regenepure is also I believe a very good shampoo :)

Equol also looks fantastic, it's my #1 focus at the moment in terms of my hair loss!

Another approach is to try to determine underlying factors that may be causing hair loss, it is more debatable whether this works, but many claim significant success (hair loss stopping or sometimes regrowing). Thyroid, cortisol and insulin seem to be the main ones, but this way is certainly the most complex.

Spectral DNC and that.. they are ok but I wouldn't ever rely on them. They will probably help though :)

lol I change my mind so much it gets a bit silly, hence why every so often I just give up updating my regimen and leave it blank!

The reason however is because I'm learning a lot all the time, and so as I learn more, old approaches no longer seem such a good idea.

For example just 3 or 4 days ago I was close to set on the idea of very strong DHT reduction in the scalp, using things like finasteride, Crinagen, RU and fluridil. However now I am more focussed on a powerful internal regimen, a bit like some of what I expressed in my last post :)

I still also feel the #1 for me is iodine, as my thyroid does appear to be quite underactive.

But, time will tell, and I'm sure I will learn more and redesign it all over again in future! lol

I´m still undecided as to what to use.

Should i stick with Xandrox 15% for another 9 months and change Minoxidil 6% for Spectral DNC for my morning application and Xandrox at the evening?

Spectral DNC-L is great

Ive been on it for a month now and havent experienced any type more of a shed than normal and its not itchy or anything like that.

But I suspect my lack of shedding could be due to the fact that Ive been on spironolactone and Prox-n for a year (Prox-n didnt seem to reverse or stop my hair loss) and still am using the remaining bottles as well as 6 months of Spectral RS before taking the plunge into Minx proper.

I would suggest your reg is fine but perhaps add Lipogaine and use it in the morning (I havent bought it yet but intend to soon). Lipogaine is essentially 5% Min plus all the ingredients of Revivogen with added Adenosine.

Lipogaine seems a good option but where do i buy it in Europe? Or in a reliable site somewhere?

So i will do:

- Spectral DNC in the morning and evenings
- spironolactone 5% in the evening
- Revita 5x weekly

And i´m still undecided about propecia,i was thinking in cutting a 1mg pill in half to take 0.5mg to see if it helps against side-effects while being efficient.

These days, I believe Nanominox (F)MS is probably better than Spectral. However, Spectral RS is probably still fairly good if you use generic minoxidil with it like kirkland or something.

I haven´t received Spectral yet but i´m just using minoxidil 6% and introduced spironolactone this week and my hair looks better :dunno:

I´ve bought propecia 1mg today and plan on using 0,5mg per day.

So:

- 0,5mg propecia per day
- spironolactone every evening
- Spectral 2x daily
- Revita shampoo

That´s what i´m going to do. Since i´m a diffuse thinner and my hairloss is slow perhaps i can reverse it with a more intense regimen,a thing i´ve never tried before.

Yeah that will almost definitely get effects :)

From what I've heard though, although Spectral is probably still pretty good, the verdict does seem to be that Nanominox F/MS is a better option these days. It's your call though, and tbh it's largely moot because I'm sure they all do the job pretty well! :)

It seems i´m not seeing lots of hair falling off since i started spironolactone. At least not in the same amount.

Or maybe it´s the effects of minoxidil 6% that´s starting now since i´ve been using it for 9 months.

Let´s see what will happen the coming weeks.

Any updates?

Did you keep on using spironolactone? Does it help?

Or maybe it´s the effects of minoxidil 6% that´s starting now since i´ve been using it for 9 months.
Did you notice new vellus hair in those 9 months that have not yet turned terminal?
