Obviously it doesnt, according to the test results. But it seem to work on a very large percentage.

I think that older people who experience male pattern baldness which is not as aggressive as the type that i and other people in their 20s suffer from. I think that finasteride not is enough for slowing our hairloss. This is off course purely subjective, just an opinion, but the people who seem to have good results with propecia are often a bit older.

I am curious about which age there were on the ones who participated in the clinical trials when seeing results with propecia. From what ive heard the pharmac. companies themselves chose who they want in their test, its their money that pays for clinic trials.

There was 18 - 41 year olds in the trial, APPARENTLY from what I have heard, the younger you are the better chance you have of maintaining/retaining your hair.

So we do have a conflict there :p

I thought you had the best chance of regrowth if u started early in the progress of male pattern baldness, and i think people who get male pattern baldness later in their better respond to the drug... But I must say, this is only opinion after reading alot male pattern baldness the last years.

well, i'll tell you this, i'm 25 with aggressive diffuse thinning on the top, and after almost a year on the drug, i can tell you from my personal experience that i did not respond well to finasteride. i believe for people who are aggressive diffuse thinners they need to add a lot more inorder to just retain the hair they have.

The more aggressive the thinning, the less likely ANYTHING will work. So you need to do more to attain the same results someone with less of a problem than you have. Internal 5AR blocker, topical anti-androgen, internal anti-androgen, growth stimulant, and scalp conditioner. It's the unfortunate truth...but it's possible... just a pain in the ***.
