Lately I have been dealing with anxiety and a lot of stress. Three months ago my hair was in good shape. I am not expert on hair so I join this forum too seek help. One part of my head seem to be loosing hair but the rest of my head looks normal. Here I attach pictures of both sides.

Unless he had tight dreads or corn rows and recently cut his hair short, it's. doubtful thatits traction allopecia. Stress related hair loss tends to be diffuse, upatterned. It's normal for one temple or one side of the hairline to be more recessed than the other. Male pattern baldness is rarely perfectly symmetrical.

Is my case male pattern baldness?

Check old photos and see if your hairline is changing. Maybe visit a hair loss specialist/surgeon for a check.

You have male pattern baldness, you arr thinning at both temples and your hairline seems receeded just a little bit, I have the exact same problem you do (look up my previous posts) some members of this forum said nothing was wrong with my hair and a few even laughed at me. So I went to a dermatologist and she diagnosed me with Areata Alopecia on that one side, even after my visit with the derm, I still felt uneasy about the way my hair looks. So I made another appointment to a different derm and this derm seemed way more knowledgable she went over my hair with a scope and indeed I did have Alopecia Areata on one temple, she pointed out the circular pattern, BUT, and this is a huge but, she also diagnosed me with ANDROGENIC ALOPECIA.

Your hair looks similar to mines but a major difference is my loss was a circle, not a huge patch. You have the signs of male pattern baldness, do your self a huge favor and go see a dermatologist, if they say your fine than go to another one for a second opinion, the worst thing you can do is pretend your hair loss is stressed enduced and do nothing to stop it.

its retrograde alopecia.

A lot of people, even those not prone to male pattern baldness can have a certain degree of it.

I have it .

You really should not fear losing your hair, if you pay close attrn to other mature males, it seems almost all of them suffer from hairloss one way or another. At this point you can get on the big 3 and slow it down or you can just let it go like I'm doing, I have a million other things and more important things to worry about.

It gets easier when you accept you are losing your hair, step one is to get the diagnosis ,than you can go from there.

It blows when you find out you are balding lol, five years ago I would have never thought that I was going to start losing hair, it never even crossed my mind. The more I think about it though, the more I realize that I have been balding the entire time and never noticed lol.

Opie, balding is far more common than you think so try not to feel so bad, life goes on brother.
