Welcome to the forums!
Nizoral is available in the grocery store or drugstore shampoo aisle.
Why, I just happened to take a picture of a box of it last night!
The ProPak is a 3 pack, and Propecia US brand home grown stuff is about $55 per month. Not sure why she said the three month supply would only be $70. If you go back, ask her for a prescription for Proscar and tell her that you'll split the tablets. Its a 5mg version of the exact same stuff, and a bottle of 30 costs $60. Splitting the tabs in 4s or 5s (to get 1mg like Propecia) will reduce your monthly cost to about $15. Instead of $55.
Most importantly - go get a camera right now and take some pictures of your hair. Bright lighting, good focus, and from every angle, both wet and dry. Then save them and keep them under lock and key so they never get lost. You will be living by those pictures in 3 months if your hair starts to shed like crazy. You'll need them in 6 months when the shedding stops. You'll need them on days that you haven't had a lot of sleep and your minds eye is telling you that you've lost 80% of your hair. They will help you keep your perspective and help keep you sane. This is very very important. Take pictures.
If you shed, and you may. Even from Month 2 to month 4 ... ride it out. Things may get worse before they get better. Its a roller coaster. Evaluate your progress only in intervals of 6 months, and do not add or take away from your regimen except in intervals of 8 to 12 months. Things take time and anytime you change up the mix, you complicate the process.
Persistence, Patience, and Pictures! The Three P's!!!!!!
