Guys i lose around 10-20 hair per day but i have a big swirl.i normally dont notice my swirl but I stayed in hostel for 4 years and my friend said my swirl is big and I sometimes pain around the swirl like heat bubbles.is this baldness or some sort of allergy.I used to daydream or think a lot and while thinking I used to scratch near the swirl.and the swirl appears like baldness when viewing my head in particular angle.

I am afraid to say that yeah I do think that is the beginning of crown thinning. Keep in mind though if this is the case, it is in extremely early stages. Pain and inflammation of the scalp is often associated with hair loss, and it does indeed look a bit red on your crown although that could just be the olive complexion of your skin giving that impression.

I'm afraid it's pretty early to say. I think you're being slightly paranoid. You might just have a scalp infection. Wait a month and see if anything happens. Meanwhile, you could use ketoconazole (Nizoral) and see if that helps.

Yes. Once you start taking finasteride, if you stop taking it, your DHT levels will rise and you'll start thinning again. I don't know about minoxidil though. So don't rush into it. You look fine as far as I can see. Stop worrying too much, mate.

Balding is a chronic genetical decease so you should get finasteride for a rest of your life or give up on hair.
