I always had a big forehead,as far as im concerned, though i noticed my hairline has been receding since i was 18. I always had my hair very short, covering receding temples,so It didnt bother me at ALL. But this usar, especially,i am letting my hair grow out since january, and now the longer It gets, worse It gets. I am diffuse thinning as It appears too,and this is blowing my hair density away, making it Hard to style, hair too thin, hairline too high and It wont stay the way i want to,not even slick it back. It feels like i am limited the way i can style It. I cant get on finasteride right now,due to money issues, but i am afraid It becomes too late. What do you think guys? Where would i fit in at the norwood scale?

imo NW1, it just looks "thin" because it's the weight of your hair pulling and your hair being dirty/greasy that stacks the hairs together. How old are you and what's your male pattern baldness history

Do you notice much daily hair fall? In the comb / shower etc. It looks like you might be beginning to thin , or maybe you just have fine hair.

Try starting with a dermaroller and minoxidil on the hairline and temples. Use the 0.5mm roller twice a week and a 1mm roller once every two weeks (don't apply the minoxidil after the 1mm roller use). You can also try daily massages with Jamaican Castor Oil. These methods will most likely thicken that hairline and fix the diffusing. Keep doing this for a few years (since you are still young) and if required in the future, get a prescription for Finasteride to include into the regime. Best of luck!

i disagree with rolling advice, the best results i have seen come from daily light rolling before applying minoxidil(1mm for example) Chen from the big needling thread did that and had amazing results but he hasn't updated in a while so i don't know how he is getting on now. I guess it is ultimately down to each individual to come to their own conclusions as to when to roll and what depth.

I was rolling every other day with a 0.25mm roller and applying minoxidil and it was fine as well. I tried it once with a 0.75mm to 1mm roller and applied Minoxidil and it burned and gave me a headache. But for sure, each person is different - if you can tolerate it, than you can roll and apply. I have a few rollers in my line up (0.25mm, 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1mm) I change it up every now and then. The longer needles are good for collagen production! (btw, I never roll to produce blood...I use gentle pressure)
