Androgenetic Alopecia has often been thought to be an early marker for insulin resistance.
Safflower seed oil improves insulin sensitivity and reduces inflammation and fat mass in post-menopausal women. I would
guess the same happens in men too but there is no study on that. Since post-menopausal women more resemble men in their hormones it wouldnt be that much of a stretch to extrapolate the same things happening to men. The women in the study were not deficient in linoleic acid either.
In the study., the women consumed 8g(8000 mg)/day of safflower oil. Which works out to about 9 ml/day using cooking oil as the density proxy for safflower oil.
Convert milligrams to milliliters (mg to mL) with the cooking and baking weights and measures conversion calculator, and learn the calculation formula.

Just figuring men are about 50% heavier to make it easier..then that is roughly 9x1.5 = 13.5 ml/day for men. Rough it out to 15 ml and that would equal a tablespoon per day. 15 ml = 0.50 ounces and 1 TABLESPOON = 0.50 ounces.
Taking a tablespoon per day or maybe slightly less would equal what the women took in the study.
Metabolic effects of dietary fat quality in people with type 2 diabetes are not well-understood. The study objective was to evaluate effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and safflower (SAF) oils on glycemia, blood lipids, and inflammation. The ...

We conclude that eight grams of SAF daily improved glycemia, inflammation, and blood lipids indicating that small changes in dietary fat quality may augment diabetes treatments to improve risk factors for diabetes-related complications.
Both treatments provided 8 grams of oil daily, which was consumed in 1-gram capsules provided by Cognis Corporation (Cincinnati, Ohio). The CLA treatment contained a total of 6.4 grams of mixed isomer CLA (50% each of c9t11 and t10c12-CLA) out of 8 grams of total oil. The SAF treatment contained a total of 8 grams of safflower oil. Subjects were instructed to take two capsules each at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. Fatty acid content of the capsules was verified by gas chromatography analysis
