Something I’ve been interested in finding out is how follicular units diminish on the head. From my understanding, the hair follicular units on our scalps grow in clusters of 1–4. Does this mean that one follicle produces 1–4 hairs? And can you, say, lose three hairs from a follicle but still produce one other? Please could someone explain this as it’s been puzzling me for a while.
