How Worried Should I Be If Hair Looks Good Dry, But Horrible Wet?

So in general my hair has certainly been thinning, and receding, but only a bit.

The thing is, every now and then I will have a wet hair under light moment where I kinda freak because it looks ALOT worse. I've had them for the past 3 years and between aging(almost 26) and steroid use I expected some hit to my hair. My concern is that it is something more serious than just my hair getting to where it would be faster(no male pattern baldness in family, just receded hair/semi thin).

Is it normal to have movie star thick hair when blow dried and horrifyingly thin looking hair wet and under light?

Firstly, minor recession/hairloss is male pattern baldness. Same underlying cause so yes it is in your genes. If you were destined to be a NW3 by 60 as dictated by your genetics, there is every reason to believe steroid use will hasten that progress so its not surprising you are noticing changes in your hair now given you actually do have male pattern baldness in your family history.

Secondly, do you realise just how detrimental steroids are to ones hair assuming you are taking compounds like winny and tren? Even test without a DHT inhibitor is very bad for your hair in the long run. Using dht derivative steroids is like inviting male pattern baldness to come and decimate your scalp and not even finasteride can prevent that considering it stops the conversion of test to DHT and does nothing to combat it directly.

Thirdly, the general rule of thumb is, by the time you can notice changes in density/thinning you have already lost 50% of your hair. Given you are noticing a lot of thinning when wet I bet you have lost even more than that. I suffer from a receding hairline but have good density. Having wet hair reminds me of my good density rather than the lack of it so I wouldn't say its normal.

Thanks my friend. I never would use roids for those reasons if it wasnt important to my industry. That being said I will see how this cycle treats me. I have done many and my hair has mostly stayed the same. thanks for your grounded input

The one thing I dont quite understand is- lets say my grandpas hairline is where I "should" end up. Would it just stop there theoretically?
