How to treat EyEbrow hair loss?

My eyebrows have been falling out pretty much at the same time as my hair started to. Yesterday at work for instance I wiped the sweat off my face and 4 eyebrow hairs came off on my wrist. They're dark healthy hairs, I don't know why they would fall out. I've tried rubbing Nizoral and Hydrocortisone on them but it doesn't seem to be helping. They're starting to get really thin and scarce.

What else can I do?

You could give yourself an eyebrow combe over or just shave them off...

you could always get a hair transplant on your eye brows? cant be that expensive (unless you want really bushy eyebrows...)

and already got my thyroid checked now waiting

i dont have a doctor or even insurance for that matter which is why i self-medicate and look to the internet for all my medical advice.

if you go on the internet and search for graves disease or thyroid disease you will find a quiz you can take and a list of symptoms. Im waiting for my test results too. I scored a 61 % chance i have it. Would have been higher but alot of the questions are geared towards women because i guess its more common in them. Rapid/irregular heartbeat, muscle cramping and soreness, memory loss, hairloss, brittle nails, dry hair, excessive sweating, trouble swallowing/swollen neck, losing hairs in the inner part of your eyebrows, blurry vision/soreness. These are some of the symptoms which i have all of them, yikes! Ill know for sure monday.

man, sound to me like some people on here want desperately to hear the response "you probably dont have male pattern baldness then!"

but unfortunately, if you look at many bald people youll notice eyebrow thinning as well. the only outcome of obsessing over eyebrow hair loss will be more eyebrow hair loss. Stop obsessing over it. my eyebrows were coming out like crazy as well. They are now a lot lighter than they used to be and i do notice it in pictures but they are still there. Stop worrying about it, they'll still be there.

I've been using minoxidil on mine since I started using it on my head last November. They look far better
than when I started last November but the growth has been very slow. I've read that growth cycles
in eyebrows is much longer than head hair.

but unfortunately, if you look at many bald people youll notice eyebrow thinning as well. the only outcome of obsessing over eyebrow hair loss will be more eyebrow hair loss. Stop obsessing over it. my eyebrows were coming out like crazy as well. They are now a lot lighter than they used to be and i do notice it in pictures but they are still there. Stop worrying about it, they'll still be there.

that's a dumb response. would you tell someone who is balding on this forum, "stop worrying about it... sure you're losing your hair but you'll still have some left when it's all over."? No you wouldn't say that because that is stupid.

do you use minoxidil? Im pretty sure it made my eyebrows thicker, along with growing some odd eyebrow hairs up my forehead which i now have to pluck, but its better than having no eyebrows so im not complaining...

I think there might be some kind of connection between male pattern baldness and eyebrow hair loss. My father is very bald even for a NW7 and he pretty much doesn't have eyebrows anymore.

Hi $tackz, I read many threads on this topic and found that eyebrow shedding is common while you on finasteride. I have the same problem too.
Do you still loose eyebrows hair?
