How To Tell The Difference Between Shedding Itch Or Dht Itch?

Currently for the last week I'm experiencing abit of scalp itch in the thinning areas that has came out of no where, it might be down to briefly changing to using Regenepure twice a week or maybe trying RU for a week before getting chest pains and stopping.

I am trying to figure out if the itch is a shed itch or not. if its DHT then i will know to maybe try something else to stop the itch, but if its a shed then i don't wanna risk continuing the shed by bringing something new into the mix.

regenepure hasn't really helped the itch which makes me think it may not be DHT but who really knows :(

is there any way to figure out which it is?

I am on finasteride, once every other day though.

I did take it every day for a while and i gained a slightly worse itch and quicker receding, then i went to once every other day and the itch stopped and the receding slowed down. i have been on finasteride for a few months now doing that.

its just recently thats something changed, hair has got a little thinner, itch has kinda sprung up again (just a more mild itch) and receding has picked up pace.

I think the rise in testosterone can contribute to the itch and male pattern baldness. RU prevents T and DHT from binding to receptors so RU assuming it works would probably help with the itch more than finasteride would. Just in theory since we dont know much about any of this like what is the itch and why is hair sensitive?

I can't say i am experiencing low T, but then i have experienced high T before and id say mine currently feels average. but then i wouldn't know what my T to my body if DHT is lowered.

Its incredibly confusing because i haven't got any side effects beyond the itch to really determine what the issue might be.

Maybe weaker joints and peeing more (smaller prostate maybe)

Bump!

i am on the next phase of shed or receding and its scary. its all going inwards and its sped up quickly over the last 2 weeks and i don't know why.

I dunno if its DHT or shed itch but something changed since i tried RU for a couple of days.

I have figured out why i have had bone and joint issues recently though. i have worked out the ingredient thats been in the topical stuff i used when i had this issue and it seems to be Caffeine, and it makes alot of sense now since it can make your bones brittle since it stops your bones absorbing calcium.

I am unsure if scalp itch has been proven to have any relation to DHT even though people like to credit it as such. It probably has more to do with inflammation/histamine/irritation from topicals/minoxidil.

You are saying caffeine in a topical caused you to have joint issues? You realize most adults in the developed world drink hundreds of mgs of caffeine a day (I probably consume around 400mg)? While caffeine may not be 100% side effect free, you attributing pain to a topical caffeine product is ridiculous.

Well i never had an itch before using any hairloss products so **** knows whats going on :(

Well its the only thing i can think of. i used a product in 2016 that was a minoxidil product that had caffeine and saw palmetto in it (the product doesn't exist anymore though) and i experienced really bad joint pain issues that i blamed on the minoxidil. then i decided to risk it again last year and tried LIPOGAINE, which is a minoxidil product and had no joint issues but did get chest pains so had to stop. then i decided to try a product called spectral.DNC.N which is meant to be a alternative minoxidil just without minoxidil, but a major ingredient is caffeine... and then i am getting these issues again.

Maybe my body is just oversensitive to this stuff, and there is a spectral.DNC.N product that doesn't have caffeine in it so i might try that but i suspect i am having Vitamin D issues with this product.
