Ive been on 1.25mg finasteride since may 1st of 2020 and ive had good results and regrowth, but i started to lose ground so i decided to switch to 0.5mg dutasteride jan 1st of 2021
However ive heard from this forum that switching cold turkey is bad because the dutasteride needs time to build up in your system so you actually go for a while without 5AR inhibition. For this reason im going to be taking both 1.25mg finasteride and 0.5mg dutasteride every day for about 40 days (which is the time i heard it takes to stabilize dutasteride levels) until cut out finasteride. If anyone knows about how to switch id appreciate it.
I also read on another forum that when going on dutasteride you can do a "loading phase" to maximize results where you take 2.5mg a day and slowly taper off to 0.5mg and it increases the effectivness or something. I dont know the exact details and i dont wanna run through my supply of dutasteride so id appreciate any information on this as well.
