How To Measure Regaine? First Time Using

Hello, I am new to this forum, I just joined. I have just started my treatment for hair loss, I live in the UK, we have Regaine, this is my second day in using the product, I wanted to ask how would I measure the foam, it says half a cup or 1 gram, I have a digital scale would that be more accurate?

I also wanted to ask, I am a muslim, we pray 5 times a day, we must perform wudho, which is basically cleaning of the arms,face,hands,feet and hair, how long should I wait until I can put water on my hair?

Hi Asrar.

No need for that kind of precision with regaine. Just estimate what a half a cap looks like in your hand, or just fill the cap half way and scoop it out with your fingers.

In fact, you will likely find that the recommended dose isn't quite enough to cover your affected areas. You may need a bit more and that's totally fine.

As for wudho, regaine should sit on the scalp for about 4h before being washed off (ideally), but any amount of time it sits on the scalp is better than nothing. You should apply the day's first dose right after your first morning prayer and the second dose after the last day's prayer, or a bit before going to bed.

Alternatively, you can apply twice the dose just 1 time a day at night a little before bed. It's not as effective as twice daily, but it's a lot easier. For once a day application it would be better imo to use the liquid solution instead of foam because it has better absorption, but it could irritate the scalp due to its inactive ingredients compared to foam.

Thank you for your help, I use half a cup, I try to apply the foam on the crown area where I am balding and also the front. I was scared of going over 1 gram, it warns against that, I did not want to go over, I apply the foam after my first prayer before going to bed, I then wait 30 minutes for it to absorb before going to bed, I also apply it around 2 pm or so the next day, I wait around 4 hours before applying any water on my hair.
