So ive always been a sensitive skin guy, and in the winter my skin gets terribly dry. I live in Montana which doesn't help as we are already having 20 degree days. Im using generic minoxidil and just got on finasteride as well as a 2% ketoconazole shampoo. I'm trying to apply the minoxidil twice a day, but my scalp gets terribly dry. I applied in the morning and went to school to find my scalp hurting. When I got home I rubbed olive oil on my scalp, and with it shed a lot of hairs. My scalp was so dry it hurt to rub in the oil, but felt relieving after a few minutes of massage. So being a dry skin guy, what is good to use on the scalp and when to keep a healthy scalp? I use the keto shampoo, day off, zenagen shampoo, day off to then use keto again. I just got olive oil and shea butter to massage my scalp. Is it okay to shower, rub in lotion on my scalp, and then apply minoxidil? What about lotion, minoxidil, and then olive oil? Any advice on keeping a healthy scalp is appreciated since I do think it has a big part of keeping hair since my dad has terrible dandruff and is fully bald. Thanks.
