Here is my story, hopefully someone can tell me how I can get another prescription quickly :
I'm a 21 years old men from Canada. I got an appointement with a derm in January 2011 who gave me a prescription for finasteride and minoxidil. (I'm a diffuse thinner + slight hair loss in the crown area, I'm still a Norwood 1-1.5, but my hairline is very thin.)
I took finasteride for several months but didn't see any results. I tried to get minoxidil several times, but every time the pharmacists told me that it was unavailable/ out of stock. My prescription paper for minoxidil got probably lost in all those "manipulations".
I don't take finasteride anymore. However, I want restart my fight against hair on solid foundations. Crown hair loss really bothers me, so maintainning is just not enough. So yeah, I really want to buy some minoxidil. However, I don't want to wait for several months to get an appointement with a derm.
The easy solution would be to buy it online. Unfortunately, I still live with my parents. They don't know about my hairloss and it would just add a bigger stress on me to tell them about the whole situation when I'll get the stuff delivered.
So yeah... what should I do?
If I go to the drug store and show them my finasteride prescription, will they let me buy minoxidil also?
