Hi my name is Debbie Im 26 and im married with two little boys, my story is , about a year ago My beautican found a dime size bald spot on the back of my head, and eventually it got bigger and bigger, and I was being treated with corizone shots, and it was looking good, well I got pregnant and about 4 months into my pregnancy I lost all my hair on my body. My son is now 3 months old and no regrowth. Im going to hershey,Pa for a hairloss specialist at the end of August.

Im just so sad sometimes, some days Im great and I could care less, and then theres days where I will stare at women who have beautiful hair and just get so sad
, god I cant even write this w/o crying.

i read some stories and I wonder if Im ever going to get hair back.
But anyway thanks for listening. I know Im whining but its alot to get use to.

Hii demmie,

First of all.. the more u worry the more u r going to get stressed.. jus take things as it comes.. engage yourself in any kinda physical activity which wil help u get out of this stress..
and then it is a autiimmune disorder so no one can assure us when we ll get the damn hair back.. until then relax..

Debbie - I am a 40 year old professional man with a career, wife and kids. About 18 months ago, I started losing my facial hair, then patches started appearing on my scalp and over the rest of my body.

I'm getting cortisone shots (eyebrow really hurt) and using Rogain and it feels like a losing battle many days. I also feel the sadness you've described and oftentimes resent other men with healthy heads of hair.

I keep hoping the hair will regrow as some have reported.

The only thing that really HAS worked is a month-long dose of prednisone pills from a dermatologist - almost completely reversed the hair loss....until the month was over. Then it regressed.

Thanks for listening.

Hi, I too am fighting this battle with hair loss. I am from the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago) and I am a 28 yr old wife and mother of 1. I'm spending lots of money on visits to the dermatologist and nothing seems to be helping. I've already lost 3/4 of my hair. I thank god that I still have my eyebrows and eyelashes etc. I proudly wear a wig, but there are times when I envy women with their full and healthy head of hair. I really wish my hair would grow back, so I we can do is wait and pray. Thank god for life!!! Be positive cause god can move mountains!!

I have alopecia totalis around 6 years now, and I have treatment that can help me to keep my hair . I knew how it feel when we have this disease. Anyway I'm free if you want to ask how to treat. I hope I can bring all your smile back!
