How To Clean Dirt At The Front Of A System?

I just had my first ever hair system fitted and on day 4 I’m noticing dirt and stuck hair collecting along the (lace) hairline - I think it’s accumulating in the glue. This seems to be a big giveaway but I can easily hide it for a few days. Is it possible to clean this area without removing the system? I was hoping to be able to keep the system on for at least a week before considering removing it.

Any advice would be enormously appreciated! Thank you all

You can carefully clean any dirt off with alcohol, without detaching the whole unit. Have a look at this video:

But it is surprising that it is getting dirty after 4 days - do you live somewhere very polluted? That can make a difference. One tip you can use is to rub a very thin layer of hairgel (pick an alcohol free one) on your hairline after you have attached your system, and let it dry, maybe using a hairdryer. The gel will dry matt and seal in any residual stickiness from the hairline adhesives you are using.

Thank you so much, Noah - I was actually going to PM you before posting anything as I’d read some of your replies on other threads and your advice is always excellent.

To be honest I think some tiny hairs got caught in the glue when my System was first attached and there’s been a small accumulation of dirt since - nothing major but I know I have to address it before anything noticeable shows up. To my great surprise the most surprised comment I’ve had is someone asking where I got my amazing haircut - nobody has even looked at me strangely and I want to keep it that way!

Thanks again,

George

I put a tiny layer of hairspray on the glue at the front with a cotton swab. That will form a protective layer that won't be as sticky and won't attract dirt.
