How To Best Wash Bio Hair With Unit On?

I need to start using Nizoral (anti dandruff shampoo).

I can try to use a hair cap to protect the unit, but I don't want to disturb it and I just want to see how people normally was their bio hair between re-attachments?

That was easy but probably not perfect - it is too difficult to get the shower cap to fit just right.

I feel maybe the way to do this is to do home re-attachments more frequently and to spend the time there doing more of the hygiene related work. My salon doesn't seem to bother/care about this aspect.

i also have dandrufs or dry scalp so wash my bio hair while hair piece on ( sides and back only) by wetting and washing sides/back using my hand held shower head. piece stays dry ( or mostly dry)

There is no reason why you can't get the system wet unless it's within 24 hours of your bond.

Because it's still hot here, and I sweat, I rinse my system every other day between re-bonding (7-10 days).

I only use shampoo on it if I am using any product. With the new style, I just got, no product at all.

It amazes me you can get 7-10 days with your climate and that much rinsing!

Maybe I should just rinse more often as well.

I wear French lace and do a tape-only bond.

I don't wash or rinse with very hot water, that can be a big problem. I also have relatively short hair.

I saw a long time wearer write on another forum that getting it wet will shorten the bond time. If you don't reattach weekly, but want a longer bond, this may affect you? I really hope you're telling the truth though.

I now do this as a business, being trained by both factory reps, and hair replacement professionals, I don't make this up. Washing your hair with shampoo and HOT water will potentially weaken the bond, that is correct. Rinsing your cooler water, won't.

I wrote of my own personal, besides professional experience what reason would I have to lie to you?

Yes, lots of people on the internet with lots of opinions and ideas, it doesn't always mean that they are legitimate. You need to read things and make an informed decision about what you are going to do.

From my experience too water doesn't ruin the bond, make it break down quicker (and even a little sweating doesn't do much imo). But these are things I don't want to risk much, I want to get as long hold as possible, so I've a little bit started avoiding these activities, always looking for ways to achieve that.

I've resigned myself to needing more frequent re-bonding if I go the way of exercising regularly.

It's just a trade-off.

I will also start rinsing every few days just to see how it is as per the suggestion!
