I currently use it around twice a week, but I was wondering if it'd be more effective too bump it up to 3x a week or maybe more. Is there a benefit too doing this? I leave it sitting on my scalp for 5 minutes or more before washing out

2 times is fine, it's just to keep your scalp in good shape.

As long as you are t having scalp issues more won't help you any.

Nizoral shampoo is be used every 3-4 days and then to be discontinued after eight weeks.

I recommend that you bump up to a premium Ketoconazole shampoo, one that you can use daily. My favorite one is Regenepure DR, that's the one I use. There is also Lipogaine Big 3 Shampoo and Revita which are also good.

But I thought it worked in an action that helped reduce DHT build up in the scalp. So I thought if you could use it everyday technically wouldn't it be better?

I've heard mixed reviews on what it does.. Some say nothing, some say blocks scalp DHT.

At the end of the day it's part of the big 3, and I hear it helps more than I hear it's useless.

I use it once every 5 days or so.

That must be the dandruff instructions telling you to discontinue after 8 weeks.

So why is it part of the "big 3", which is common knowledge you have to stay on big 3 for 1 year for full results.

For 1% shampoo dosage form:
  • For dandruff:
    • Adults—Use every 3 or 4 days for up to 8 weeks. Then use only as needed to keep dandruff under control.
    • Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.

Revita is garbage! I highly recommend not using this shampoo because there is something really wrong with ingrediences in that shampoo and they don't disclose all the ingredients.

Revita is garbage? I'm guessing you had a bad experience with it? I'm sorry if it did not go well. I haven't tried it and plan on doing so since I read that it's a decent shampoo. The other two I've already tried with Regenepure DR being the one I prefer, so far. The only real complaint I've read about Revita is that the bottle is quite poorly designed and the shampoo will leak out if not capped properly. I'll keep an eye out when I get a hold of the product.

There is something seriously wrong with that shampoo. If anyone told me long time ago what shampoo can do major damage to the hair I would laugh at them.
I also heard about people who went through a massive shred and didn't recovered too well.

My experience was never ending shed - way pass 8 months without any sign of stabilization. I just had to quit before it major disaster.
Shortly when I stoped and jumped on other katekonazole shampoo shed stopped and I was eventually able to recover.
I'm not sure what is wrong with this shampoo.
But I read other people has same experience so it's not only me.
