How much water do you use with Nizoral?

Whilst adding water to my last 10ml drop of nizoral (to get it out the bottle) i realised that the amount of water i use when shampooing must significantly affect the concentration of the active ingredient touching my scalp.
If i used it thick and neat (2%) then it would be difficult to spread on the scalp so impratical to use. A 50/50 mix (10ml/10ml) will just about spread without dripping and is equal to a 1% concentration. However i did a test yesterday and think my hair will hold around 90ml of water. Adding 10ml of shampoo to this would give a 0.2% concentration (only one fifth of the strongest practical mix). So, by using the same amount of shampoo i can achieve between 1% and 0.2% concentration depending on how much water i use. Both extremes appear to have the same effect on the finish of my washed and dried hair and both completely wet my scalp, so i'm wondering if anyone else has considered this and tries to use as little water as possible to increase the amount of the active ingredient touching the scalp? Any opinions or even better facts on this please?
