your face skin is just as important as your hair. Both affect your appearance. I need clear UV proof plastic to put on my monitor. Any idea where to buy it?
I'm just venturing a guess here, but I would think that your face probably gets exposed to more UV rays during the few minutes while walking out to get your mail than it does from hours in front of a computer monitor.
CRTs emit a minimal amount of UV radiation, and LCDs emit 0. If you have a CRT display, it's not going to emit enough UV radiation to give you a tan. Although if it bothers you, buy a glare filter; or better yet (if you don't have one already) a LCD.
Electromagnetic radiation is something to be more concerned about regarding cathode ray tube displays, rather than UV radiation.
UVA can penetrate clouds and windows, so maybe the UV damage you're accumulating is partly from time you spend travelling in vehicles or sitting near a window at work/home.
