How much is a hair transplant and When to do it? Can I do it in Phases?

Im wondering if the docs can do it in "phases" b/f my frontal hairline recedes anymore so I can avoid looking like Im losing my hair in the 1st place ...

so then, 5, 10 years from now, if thinning has taken over in different spots, can they go back and fill in those areas as well? kind of a long-term, progressive transplant plan... is this a possibility?

My front hairline looks (to me) like its going downhill very fast ... just trying to get a plan in line.

Also, how much??

Thanks!!

What it costs depends on how much work you need but its going to be at least a few thousand. Almost everybody who has a hair transplant goes back for more work later.

How much research have you done and are you on hairloss meds especially finasteride?

Have you researched both the benefits as well as the risks associated with hair transplant surgery?

Are you aware that male pattern baldness is a progressive disease and why one procedure will never solve nor cure your hairloss issue?

This is where you need to start before you start thinking about cost.

Falceros,

It's always good to see you around and I see you are still giving many good helpful advice. Kudos!

Each supporting Doctor is just that. They each support my independent patient advocacy efforts so I can do this more full-time to help other patients with their hairloss dilemma. Note that I never promote them nor post their patient pics, nor am I any employee of theirs.

Essentially, they are splitting my overhead costs to operate as an advocate and it does not amount to that much. But still, it is absolutely essential and ethical that I disclose this.

I never charge patients for any of my support or services including mediation between them and their doctor, and so it's nice to have the docs support to pay the overhead.

How's your hair looking these days?

how old are you and how long has your hair been receeding?

i would recommend that anyone who has hair transplant surgery first try treating their hairloss with medication. i know it sounds tempting to just stick 3000 hairs in your head and it'll look good again, but if you have success with treatment you could save lots of money, and save the possibility of surgery for later on.
